I may live in Yorkshire but I'm a Scot
Now that was a pleasant surprise, I hadn't seen any advertising for this only became aware of it when His Dark Materials finished. Wasn't expecting much but left it on.

I found it enjoyable dark with a touch of humour.
Jacob Marley is not having a peaceful afterlife.
My only complaint is Ebenezer Scrooge, too young, remote rather than a mean nasty old miser.

I'm watching.

I liked the first episode**. I liked the second episode even more.

** - Partly because
it explained why Marley was there in addition to the three spirits. (Perhaps the book did too, but I've never read it.)

It’s got some good reviews. I hope to catch it on iPlayer.

I recorded the first two episodes, and hearing that the ghosting didn't really start till the second, I went straight to that.

I'm very impressed. I was a bit dubious when I read about the changes made to the story and the age and character of Scrooge, but having watched it, I'm completely behind them. The only thing I didn't like was Bob Cratchit's hair (both face and head). Not only does it seem rather anachronistic, I think it suggests too convenient an excuse for Scrooge's treatment of him.

Overall a good watch, the second episode was amazing, slightly disappointed with the finale but that's me being greedy,
I wanted the spirit of christmas present to show his nephew and to see him reconnect with his family
