Sad to read this. Read Santiago for the first time this past weekend, and had some thoughts to post about it in the book discussion forum. I have not read a lot of Resnick's stories ... although I do recall with pleasure Seven Views of Olduvai Gorge. Reading Santiago with its character's names and western feel jogged a few memories about a previous book that I had read years and years ago. A quick search on Wikipedia and voila: Outpost. Enjoyed that as well. He will be missed.
