My epic fantasy "The Witch's Box" is now out as Kindle book and PB after several years of intermittent work on it.
Imperial Princess Maihara does not get on well with her autocratic father and absorbs radical ideas from her tutor. Meanwhile, the Western capital is under assault by rebels, inspiring the strong-willed and curious Maihara to dabble with the magical box gifted to her by an unknown donor. Unfortunately for her, Maihara is soon arrested on suspicion of dabbling in sorcery. The city falls to the rebels and Maihara becomes a prisoner of the rebel leader, Tarchon. Maihara is vulnerable in the vast new world she has to face and try to understand in order to survive, while refusing to abandon her own ambitions. Tarchon, meanwhile, is not quite as she imagined.
The beta readers said some complimentary things:
"That was a very good read, by some margin the best I've read by this author ."
"...the execution of teaching Maihara about life is fabulous."
"This isn't the usual genre I'd read but I really enjoyed the book."
One beta reader read the whole 150,000w in one weekend, and it has got one five-star review so far on Amazon. WB is a fantasy romance as well as an epic fantasy. I was trying to show the world from the main character's point of view.
Search on Amazon for the title or for the author name as shown on the cover.
