Just found out that he died in december from cancer - less than a year after his cousin Ted. Both were members of the legendary Scottish band The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. Not just a gifted keyboard player but also a major contributor in composing some of SAHB's finest songs. They weren't a band particularly influenced by fantasy or Science Fiction but they were often utterly bizarre in both their dress and songs. A band like no other, only two original members survive and it is to my everlasting regret that I never got to see them live.
