Sci-fi novel set in 60s where at the end of the book all men of future were bald

I read this book I think in the late 70s or early 80s I believe although it may have been published in early to mid 70s

One of the only thing I can remember was there was a young lady who went to a doctors office to receive vitamin b shots and that the book was rather lengthy.

I do know that at the end of the book there was a scene where the men of the future were all bald so they wouldn’t deal with vanity of having hair or not or something to that affect.

Men just need to accept that at a certain age, some men become folically challenged! And if you don't want to spend money for plugs, drugs, or a doily, get used to wearing a hat to keep your head warm!

And, at that same certain age, other men grin and proudly show off their snow-white full heads of hair. Show-offs!
