I am looking for a story/book about an abduction to an orbiting spacecraft of a man and a woman. He is American I think and she is Russian. He awakes in an operating room with Aliens he calls Gray's/Grey's and he escapes with the help of a headband and the ship AI. They then discover other abductees and free them.

Hi,

Afraid I'm going to need a little more. It does actually sound familiar but there are quite a number of alien abduction stories out there, and grey's are one of the main stays. How long ago did you read it - was it old then. Anything more about the plot / characters etc? Every little bit helps.

Cheers, Greg.

One of the StarGate series became friends with a set of aliens called 'Greys.' But that was Television.

Maybe one of Stephen Coonts Saucer books?
I only ever read one a long while ago, and I DNF it so I can't say for sure

Also I'm getting a faint chime about Grays from Ken McLeod's Engines of Light series.
However I don't have the books anymore to check

Do you mean The Asgard?

It did have 'Grays' in it. I don't remember that particular scene but it's been a long time since I've read the series. In the first book I think it is the female lead (in the 'present day' section of the book) that is American, the man is British if I remember correctly.

I've read this a few times years ago. Think there were 3 books. Starts off with a man that has a pet dog. University student that eventually goes with government job but due to previous mental issues, not his fault, gets rejected from the government. Lots of action and nanobots are predominant in this series. I can say more but it would give too much away from this series. I now want to re-read them. I'll keep looking though.
