Sci Fi book series: Galatic Robots vs Human Civilization

Hi, great site & my 1st post.

I'm trying to remember a Science Fi series read maybe 3-5 yrs ago:

• 3-5 books in the series
• Earth destroyed by rogue galactic robots.
• We survive and rebuild on Jupiter/Saturn moon and go on the offensive
• We gain allies (1 like a bear or wolf creature)
• We combine continue build up successful overtake robot bases
• Ultimate goal of robots is to complete intergalactic portal
• We defeat robots and accidentally send a single armada to a new galaxy
• We encounter new humanoid race violent, but a number of robot ships also
• Sucked into new galaxy ultimately we found out a programming error is what caused the robot attempt at human destruction. Reprogramming made the robots allies.
