I read a book about 10 years ago and it's driving me crazy that I can’t find it. I’d appreciate it if anyone could help me out! I don’t remember many details either. I think it was about a group of humans crash landing on an alien planet. During their search of the planet, they come across someone else, I think the person they come across is another human that’s been there for awhile. This person has been able to corrupt the local population of the planet by creating a sort of alcoholic beverage that they become addicted to. The weird part, these native humanoids are described as being clear or even glass-like and the alcohol has corrupted the way they look, turning the clear into a yellowish brown. That’s all I remember. Any help would be appreciated!
