Not actually participating myself this year but those who are should know you'll need a gmail account, as per this instructional tweet:
From my past experience, the available slots (about 250-300) will fill up quickly, probably 2-3 days or even less time. So, be primed and ready for action.
Worst case scenario you lose nothing but the time it takes to send an e-mail, and if your book goes down well you can make a little or even a lot of sales. It's also a really good way to find great books you might otherwise be totally unaware of, and some of my to-read list includes past winners and finalists.
So, give it a shot, and good luck.
