A book, around 2010, about uploading a mind into a computer?

Hi to the forum,

I remember reading a book about 10 years ago, roughly, where the plot was of a scientist that found a way to duplicate a human mind from a persons brain at a molecular level. I don't remember the title or the author but I am pretty sure that the title had "god" in it.

It was a good book and I want to read it again.

Thank You
Tom

Norman Spinrad, Deus X?

"Can human consciousness exist within the framework of an electronic "brain" and still maintain its humanity? In DEUS X, a dying priest's consciousness is uploaded into the most advanced computer of the day - and what ensues is a thought-provoking, entertaining and overly intriguing clash between the various characters surrounding the experiment, a female Pope and a computer guru who'd rather be sailing and smoking pot, for example." Deus X

Sounds like a good read but that is not the book that I read.

Well, at least it's on the right topic and it has the word "God" in the title (albeit in Latin).

Could it be The Naked God by Peter F Hamilton? It's not the main plot but according to the Wikipedia page there is some transfering memories and personalities to clone bodies through affinity going on.
