The first British Star Trek comic strip was featured in "Joe 90" in 1968 with the usual fantastic art work by Mike Noble. It was actually published several months before the TV show was aired by the BBC (in summer of 1969, just in time for the moon landings) and I was a bit puzzled by it. I seem to recall it was common for the nacelles on the Enterprise to be depicted as chemical rockets blowing out exhaust plumes.
