(Found) Looking for sci-fi book about aliens invading human colonies

I only read the beginning parts of this book at Barnes and Noble several years ago so i do not know the exact publication date. I want to say it was published in the 2000s but I am not sure. The book deals with aliens invading human colonies cutting off communication. Book has multiple POVs. 1 is a war hero, another is a war hero on the opposite side that has to live in a suit because his body is covered in burns, the last POV i got to was a girl and her mother/grandma trying to find help as their colony is being invaded. They all meet on a space station as the women's credits are stolen and both war heros chase the thief.

I peeked at the end of the book and you find out the aliens are robots programmed by, if i remember it correctly, jellyfish? I read it in english. The cover was a hue of blue and green I think? I found the book in the YA section but reading into it, none of the POVs were young adults so I think it was misplaced and it was supposed to be in the adult section. If I remember correctly the book was the first in a trilogy.

I looked through his books and I do not think it was any of them. I would have had the book around 2017. So it was published before then. Though some of Peter Hamilton's books do sound good.

Why not spin the idea around. What are the aliens going to say when the human race finally meets another civilisation in space or on there own planet. I know it wont happen tomorrow, but one day.

I'm somewhat bemused to note that I have the entire Silence trilogy in ebook format, for a good while now, and I've never yet made a start on it.

I might well make it my next SF reading project after reading the story description in the original question.
