Like the other lists (and I'm sure there'll be some crossover between the three) how many have you read, or plan to read?

I have only read 27 on that list. As with the other lists posted recently, some are on my TBR pile and others I have seen the films of.

I have to admit, it's not a great list and appears to favour newer releases with a smattering of classics.

53 read
7 DNF

Of the rest there are very few I'd be interested in reading, and I don't feel like I'm missing out not having read them. There's some classics in this group which would be important if I was a scholar of the genre, but I'm not...

Thinking of starting a thread where we compile our own list. Given that it would cover science fiction, fantasy and horror too probably, maybe 500 best? Anyone interested? Doesn't have to be ranked, just add as you go along. If there's enough interest I'll kick off the thread. Hell, I'll just do it.

52. Goodness me. A better and more interesting list. I still contend that WOT, of which I have read the first book (I was marooned in a snow-bound hut for a week with nothing else to read) is an astoundingly crap piece of work.

At least Clan of the Cave Bear is not on the list. Might be on the 100 best historical novels, but I have not checked.

I think I've finished 38 of those, and a good half-dozen I couldn't finish.

It does seem somewhat like a curated list of the two recent ones from Goodreads, though. :)

35, if you only go by the title showing and not as a representative of trilogy/octology/neverendingology.

~14 others at various levels of Mount TBR.

I've read 34 from that list. Apparently whatever list it is I've always read about the same number.
