I’ve read the first two or three books of his Oxrun Station set and wondered who hear has read any of his stuff?

I saw him recommended on Goodreads and I like his 70s-80s writing style (omni and pleasantly dated) and his turns of lyricism are sometimes up there with Ray Bradbury.

Seasons seem as important to Bradbury and Grant as they are to me (in writing).

Has anyone read him?

I know this is an older thread, but I've just received "scream quietly the best of clg" and am dying to dive in!

I'll be interested in what you think. The little I've read by Grant didn't inspire me to read more, though saying that I find it odd I recall two stories from Nightmare Seasons -- not their titles, unfortunately, but their plots -- when I didn't care all that much for the collection. There are stories I liked better on reading that I now recall little of.

Wow I can't believe it's been a year since my last post, time sure does fly when you get to be an old codger like myself LOL

I've only recently been able to get to this book, not finished yet, but he is just a wonderful writer. He reminds me very much of Bradbury.

The stories I enjoyed very much so far are white wolf calling, through all his blood runs shadow, from all the fields of hail and Fire, when all the children call my name, needle song, a garden of blackred roses, every time you say I love you, coin of the realm, a night of Dark Intent & the generation Waltz.

Thank you, hope everyone has been well!
