Which graphic novel?

Hi, my boyfriend really enjoys reading graphic novels and I wanted to surprise him with a new one for his birthday but I have no idea where to start!!
I know in the past he has read: Maus, from hell, Palestine and v for vendetta so I was hoping so find something similar??

Hi, Anything by Alan Moore then.

If he has read all the well known ones by Alan Moore try Neonomicon (as long as he is over 16 anyway)
Or Sandman by Neil Gaiman
Or Daredevils : Born Again by Frank Miller
