Both were very enjoyable, but not up to the standard of the Hyperion duo.

For recommendations, try any of Iain M. Banks’s “Culture“ books. An exceptional author.

They are not really linked and are just set within the same post scarcity universe, so you can read them in any order. I would recommend release order.

I’m currently reading Surface Detail, but my favourite is The Player Of Games.
