Some good stories, some ok ones.
The second story, The Watchful Poker Chip of H. Matisse, just doesn't make sense at all. Drivel
There's very little 'Octoberness' in this book, you get a hint of it here and there (The Dwarf, The Jar) but on the whole the cover image does not match the contents. Not a keeper, listed on bookmooch. There's just something about his writing, I don't know what it is.
