The best scene in ST:TNG was where members of the Enterprise were being abducted by aliens and examined. They reconstructed the examination couch in the holodeck from recovered memories of the abductees. Then later you see the actual examination couch and it is slightly different in details.
They went to the trouble of making two different props to show that reconstructing an item from verbal memories would not be perfect.

Another one good for funny is, Deja Q, where Q is banished from the Continuum. Explaining to Picard why he chose human form instead of, say a Denebian Slime Worm, Q explains that, out of all the centillions of entities and beings in the Multiverse, Picard was the closest thing he had to a friend.
Patrick Steward's expression as he reacts was PRICELESS.
