As per thread title, I would like some advice/guidance/recommendations please from anyone with an interest in and/or knowledge of French policiers.
My wife is a francophile and pretty much bilingual - I am looking for a couple of Christmas gifts for her.
She particularly likes the writing of Fred Vargas and has read all his (actually her) published works.
I am looking for similar authors, whose work is reasonably easily available but who are - as yet - unknown to me (and which I can quickly check in the French section of our bookshelves
