I know the term "Legend" is too often used. but for me this man was.If you are a brit of a certain age this man is first and foremost The Green Cross Code Man...
And we never got to hear Darth with a Dave's West country accent.

Dear old Dave. That's sad. Yes, I grew up with his kind but firm instruction to obey the green cross code embedded in my psyche.

It’s always a sobering moment when characters who helped shape your younger years (whether it be through public information or movies) begin to disappear. David Prowse will forever be Darth Vader and the Green Cross Code Man to me.

One of the reasons he was loved so much by fans was that he really liked meeting fans and talking about his experiences. His agent said today that he loved speaking to fans so much that he could have been booked solidly for the whole year with conventions, autograph signings, opening fetes, switching on lights etc. I can anecdotally confirm this as even I myself have been to a school fete that was opened by him!

Very saddened by this news. The first appearance of Darth Vader on the screen is one of the most vivid memories I have as a seven-year-old in 1977. Vader was both frightening and exciting; his every moment on screen was a joy to watch. RIP.

Always loved that Darth Vader was a west country boy. RIP.

Scottish?! Gurt dough bake.
Funny, but nowhere near as hilarious as "Snatch Wars", which is Bricktop's dialogue from the movie Snatch overlain over Darth Vader scenes. I won't post the youtube link as it is definitely explicit dialogue. But if you are after an R-rated laugh, look it up. Have you seen that @Droflet? Your kind of humour, perhaps! ;)
