Has anyone watched any of this?
When I first saw it was coming on, I thought 'Great, a fantasy animation for adults. Hopefully it will do for fantasy what Futurama did for sci-fi' Lots of references to classic fantasy novels and films, that sort of thing. And it's from the people behind Robot Chicken, so that's promising. And some big names with a fantasy pedigree - Luke Evans for one
So it was with great anticipation that I watched the first episode.
Oh dear
It seems to be from the school of 'Let's make a cult show by flinging in lots of swearing, nudity and sexual references. No need to worry about characters or storylines'
Don't get me wrong, I like abit lot of swearing, nudity and sexual references - when they are done well, but...
I'm very much in agreement with the critics from Rotten Tomatoes
"Crass and cruel, Crossing Swords bleeds its thin premise dry."
It does seem to be popular with fans, though I imagine the demographic is late teens/early twenties male stoners
So, anybody else had the misfortune of seeing this show?
