Hello, all.

Here are two sets of flowcharts laying out Harry Turtledove's series.

Unlike my other flowcharts, these charts do not simpoly concentrate on single series, but show multiple series simultaneously, since with only a few exceptions, Turtledove's series are relatively short.

There were too many titles to fit on a single chart, so I divided the series into Alternate History and Fantasy.

Comments, questions, corrections, and criticism are always welcome.

Enjoy,

Mike

Nice work, Bick. I haven't read much Turtledove. I read the first Great War novel and half of the second and gave up. I've only read one of his fantasy novels, the Conan pastiche Conan of Venarium.

To everybody here,

I am new here at SFF Chronicles, but I have been posting at Baen's Bar, using that avatar since 2016. When Baen's Bar was placed on hiatus due to an overblown controversy, I looked around for another forum where I could indulge my appetite for discussing speculative fiction and found the SFF Chronicles. When I set up my profile here I just naturally used the same avatar image I had previously used at Baen's Bar.

I can't fault Bick for using the same image. As should be obvious, I do think it's a very good one. Kelly Freas was my favorite cover artist during the 1960s, and Martians, Go Home was one of the first novels that I read as a child.

Sorry for the confusion....

Mike

Yep, understood and welcome. So are you going to change the avatar?

I enjoyed his story "He Walked Around The Horses" which I read when I was still in school, I didn't get the punchline then because I wasn't really interested in history at the time.
It was only when I reread it years and years later that I saw what it was!!!

Bob,

I'm afraid you are mistaken. Harry Turtledove did not write that story. For what it's worth, it was a good story.

"He Walked Around the Horses" was actually written by H. Beam Piper, and it was part of his Paratime series.

Just so you know...

Mike

Thank you for the timeline. I have enjoyed a number of Turtledove's books and series, and with this series am trying to make sure I read them in order. I recently started the Southern Victory series but with Guns of the South, and was confused by in How Few Remain, the past events were not referenced. Your timeline helped me figure out why that was and will help keep me going in the correct direction.
