I thought this provide a nice set of details to include for anyone who is writing a story with someone jettisoned into space without a spacesuit.

I think the word "survive" is rather overselling the situation...

Well the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy says that if you hold a lungful of air you can survive in the total vacuum of space for about thirty seconds. And that book really knows what it's talking about.
