Your Favorite novels and Story collections by IAN WATSON?

The first I ever read of him was his Books of the Black Current trilogy in an omnibus. I liked them but many moons went by before I read more and I haven't liked any of it - his earlier, more highly critically-esteemed novels (like The Embedding) and collections (like whatever his first collection was, I think) - a few others before I gave up. I don't actually know if I'd still like the Books of the Black Current but they'd be my suggestion, anyway.
 
I tried one novel by him many years ago and didn’t care for it at all. I didn’t finish it, as I recall.

I see you’ve asked for lots of recs from different authors Dave - do you have any feedback of books you’ve read following opinions on here?
