Time accelerates in space ship

Space ship returns to Earth orbit from mission. Somehow their time shifted and everybody moves and lives much faster than people on Earth. They can't land until this is solved. They don't even know that they are back yet. Few scientists from Earth enter the spaceship, those who are considered and trained to be extremely fast. On the space ship they are somewhat slow, but they fit in more-or-less.

Probably a short story and probably 30-40 years old or more.

Sounds cool. Seems like the Brian Aldiss short story “Man In His Time” played around with a similar idea.

Does this sound like Brian Aldiss' 'Non-stop- (1958)? I haven't seen a copy since the early sixties, but certaun details seem familiar.

It does, yes - certainly elements of it.
