hi! i'm a new author and my current manuscript is a high fantasy. surely with this type of story, there would be some terms such as fantasy animals/plants, rules of the world, etc. when it is time to query, and supposedly someone would ask for a full manuscript, should the glossary be included in the manuscript sent to agents for consideration? if so, where should it be located within the manuscript?

I think it would be appropriate to ask the agent when they have offered representation and you are discussing any changes the agent might want. I would not send it before that.

Generally, no you wouldn't include it unless the story is incomprehensible without it. You can put a note at the top of your manuscript or in your query letter that a glossary and other incidentals (maps, illustrations) are available upon request.
