(Found) Looking for a book

[Ponyboy]

Its a book about alien invasion of a colony. The aliens breed different classes and are superior to humans but humans beat them once and thought they were destroyed. The aliens would win but when they reach a certain population number they must breed a ruling class that is selfish and hedonistic. The army class doesn't want to but is forced by biology. pre 2000s probably. Any help would be appreciated!
