I've just had some feedback on a first draft and the only issue the person reading it had was the mix of styles. Some points they found its comedic and others they thought it was dramatically descriptive.
Now this was my intention anyhow, using humour when I was wanting the tone to be lighter and help get certain points across or show peoples character, and use a good deal of description to show what a place, person or situation was like.
But how does everyone like to mix the two?
