Looks like very efficient mining operations that don't lay waste to the entire area. A very big step forward. I have seen pictures of lithium mining in China where there are small diameter hoses sticking out of the ground which is all clay. I don't know if they dug down and uncovered the clay or if it was very big surface deposits. The water that oozes out of the hoses is loaded with lithium compounds.
