Hi,

I'm searching for a book title about a dictator who can create a clone or a doppelgänger of himself. Scientist have find a way to isolate a persone and always follow them. They tried to isolate the dictator but it turn out he was a double. The dictator has killed near a billion poeple to stay in power. When a problem arise, he will instruct that all person relatated to the problem be eliminated. I think the author is well known but i can't find the title. thanks!
 
Sounds a bit like Foundation (TV series).

Yes, When I saw fondation yesterday, I did remember this book. I don't think it's a n Asimov book. So the Apple version on Foundation seems to have use part of this story for their version.

I just want to recheck the book i am thinking about.
 
According to IMdB and the official Foundation podcast, the tv series follows the entire Foundation canon (retconned later to include both the Robot and Empire series into a single Universe) but the tv series does not credit any book other than those of Asimov.
