I love The Flash, he is one of my favorite DC superheroes

So why on God's green earth is DC so freaking late on a Flash Movie?

You have Marvel just out there killing it, year after year and DC just keeps dropping the ball.

It is criminal that so many movies have been made about Batman and Superman and even Green Lantern but no Flash?

Anyone got a theory on why that is?

I expect that Flash has been felt to be a less interesting, more limited character than the others. It is harder to make a movie proposal fly with Flash compared to Superman or Batman.

Having said that I think I saw a Flash movie on video in the early 90s.

Also, Marvel pre- empted Flash somewhat with that brilliant character in one of the X-men movies.

There is The Flash TV series, which has a different Flash [Grant Gustin] to the films [Ezra Miller].
I would guess they would want to much around with the product they already had... Especially as the DCU films have not be unalloyed successes [but I still like them better than most of the MCU films].

I enjoyed the series initially but soon grew tired of it as the majority of villains were other speedsters.

The official trailer looks like it could be a story based on the Flashpoint Paradox. I just hope it doesn’t descend into another speedster versus speedster fight.
