I wouldn't have expected Australia to be the setting for the final stand between vampires and humans, but it works for me.
Nothing noble about these "suckers," as they're called here. The violence is on a par with the Walking Dead universe.
These vampires are, as they have traditionally been, much tougher to kill than a standard zombie. Fortunately, a boomerang through the heart is one approved method.
