A relatively new show – four episodes released as of Jan. 20 on HBOMax.
Superheroes in the vein of Deadpool, The Boys, Doom Patrol ...
The title character, a member of The Suicide Squad, and his side-kick bald eagle, Eagly, pursue their mission of peace at any cost -- “no matter how many men, women and children I have to kill.” Funny series, by my own warped standards.
Not suitable for children for -- in descending frequency of occurrence -- profanity, violence and sex.

That really took a short, unexpected detour near the end.
Consider Humanity's right to self-annihilation reaffirmed. Let freedom ring!

My teenaged daughter got me into this show. Glad to see it’s been renewed for another season.

It fascinates me that 90% (unscientific guesstimate) of the show’s dialogue is random side tangents unrelated to plot, yet those turn out to be the most enjoyable moments of each episode.

We had our doubts about Peacemaker, the HBO Max spinoff series based on John Cena's character from 2021's The Suicide Squad. But I'm happy to report that those doubts were entirely unfounded. Series creator James Gunn has successfully taken a seemingly irredeemable character and sent him on an emotional journey that made us love him—all framed in a blood-soaked, action-packed, cheekily irreverent main story that makes for top-notch entertainment.

I got very stoned and then I watched it. Otherwise it didn't work on me, as my brain kept producing questions and wouldn't shut up.

As a Finn I am questioning the word weird, when you associate it with the characters. To be honest, the whole series was so totally bonkers from that beginning that it was unbelievable. It was almost as if Mr Gunn had turned wierdness to eleven and then it broke down and it's ... totally nuts. From the beginning to the end.

In a way, maybe it's a good thing as the superhero world is crazy, when you think about it and I think both the Boys and Peacemaker are a take that takes the viewer to the anarchist PoV on traditional superhero stories. It's almost like a punk movement that the Preacher started by going absolutely, totally weird and not caring about it.
