Spacecraft Diagrams

Interesting that the measurements, even going back to the Mercury project in the 1950s, are all metric, not Imperial.

Stumbled across this by accident. The page contains links to diagrams of multiple spacecraft: Mercury, Gemini, Apollo etc. Each diagram can be enlarged to show more detail. One or two aren't very clear but it's interesting nonetheless.

Great stuff Mosaix !

I seem to remember that a Mars(?) lander failed because one party were using imperial liquid measurement for the fuel usage and another party were using metric. Can’t find any reference to it though.

Might be this:

I'm pretty sure there was also a rocket launch that contained a space probe in the 70s-80s that had a similar metric/imperial mixup and caused it to 'explore' the Atlantic ocean instead of outer space.
