Pet Sematary by Stephen King (1982)

I recently saw a movie based on this book, from 2019 I think, not having read it before, and to be honest, the film bears no relation to the events in the book!
As for the book itself, it's strange, but not a lot actually happens in this book, its not what I imagined at all, but its so hard to put down. King has a way of writing that keeps the reader hooked. And he has a habit of inserting strange funny episodes in the middle of serious events, which shouldn't work, but do.
When he's good he's really good. And this one is good! As soon as I'd finished I found myself wanting to read another King book.
A unique writer like no-one else!

I remember reading the book and being really annoyed by the ending, was she good or bad?

IIRC he did a similar thing at the end of Cell

I assume you mean the wife, Rachel? Pace, Danny, but I don't think whether she's good or not is the point - I think the point is that once you start mucking about with these things that go against the grain of how things ought to be, then you can't escape them, you'll never escape them.

Yup it’s a variation of the cursed object trope.

Its obvious to me that she was bad. Any body that returns from the cemetery or the Micmac ground is bad
