The Northanger "Horrid Novels"

I watched the 1987 and 2007 dramatizations of Northanger. Hated the former, and rather liked the latter (which I watched again a few years ago.)
Speaking of horrid novels, coincidentally I just discovered last night that a younger sister of Sarah Siddons and John Philip Kemble was the author of several Minerva Press novels—though not one of those mentioned in the article above. That surprised me, since I have been very interested in Mrs. Siddons (and consequently all the Kembles) ever since I read a biography when I was in my teens, and I never came across that information before.
