The sequel to Riders of the Purple Sage, and like that book its quite slow, quiet, ponderous. But there are some vivid descriptions of the scenery and I was able to visualise the colourful beauty of the surroundings. It made me think of Clifford Simak's writing if you take the SF elements out of it; very descriptive, pastoral.
I was reading it on my Kobo as a download from Gutenberg and it crashed right at the end, with like a paragraph to go, which I read on my phone!
