For those interested in the Gollancz open door which ends 30th June. They have already had over a 1000 submissions.

I wonder if there is enough data in all those novels to populate the data skin that is just beneath the event horizon in a black hole?

Not Gollancz but Angry Robot (no thread for their open door this time) - tweeted on Nov 24th that they have looked at all the submissions they received (over 900) and replied to hose they are interested in. If you've heard nothing consider this a rejection.

What my dream didn't foretell was that the email would be lying in my spam folder for five days before I thought to check it. It seems someone, perhaps a resentful rejectee, reported the logo attachment as a phishing scam.

Can't help you with this one, but it's very regular that open windows last a lot longer than the indicated 3 months (I was in that went from 3 months to 18....)
