@chrispenycate ..... Hosepipe ban .... Chris reminds us of a world we all know and mostly love, but as always, the devil is in the details and the God Emperor is in the wings.

@JS Wiig .... Into the Deep .... JS tells us that what it means to be saved means something different to different people.

With apologies to @Ursa major in advance for when it comes to typing out the voting list.

I copy and paste** in the titles -- e.g. Στύξ -- but have to type in the author names (as it's easier doing this than going to a page where the names aren't links).

** - If it turns out that this doesn't work, I have no problem with putting in the substitute title, "Gobbledegook"....

@Firebeard Jeff .... Untitled .... F.J. tells a story which considers what it feels like to discover that in spite of what you thought you were actually in prison.

@TheIntelligencePolice .... Gone Fishin' .... T.I.P. crafts a story that explores the surprise of someone gone while fishing.

@Troyzan787 .... This Time .... T.Z. gives us a whole new understanding of the phrase "Try, try, again."

When I was looking at different words for flow and water etc one of the suggestions was ‘draught’ ans I really wanted to use it but thought people might think about me being an old man cold in winter.

When the nights draw in, what else is there to do but play boardgames?

Well, if you defected to the other side, Bowler, I've got just the thing for your mob -- water cannon!

Beep... beep... beep... the sound of breaking glass - sorry about that, I'll pay for that (no chance, not in a million years will I ever open my wallet).

Bowler1 climbs down from his dusty Water Cannon.

Right then, there are a few problems here:
This thing this does about two miles to a gallon of diesel, and don't even get me started on to the price of fuel, not with this thing and it's massive fuel tank.
Water... you'd think it would be easy to fill this thing up, but there's a hose pipe ban on, so I can't fill the water tank up either.

Not that I mean to be ungrateful, but I am, this thing is killing me. I can't drive it, I can't shoot it and don't get me started on parking, it's a nightmare.

Judge, you gotta take it back. If a mob turns up now I'll never live it down, my reputation is on the line.

PS - I've posted, which is the closest I'll get to water anytime soon.
