Not sure if this is good or bad, but this quote has some alarm bells ringing
"explore additional movies based on iconic characters such as Gandalf, Aragorn, Gollum, Galadriel, Eowyn, and other characters from the literary works of J.R.R. Tolkien."

"based on" implies, to me, stories unrelated to Tolkien's original vision

One story I wouldn't mind to seeing s film is one center around Balin and his quest to reclaim Moria.
