DISCUSSION THREAD -- NOVEMBER 2022 -- 75 Word Writing Challenge

@Starbeast .... Afternoon at the Patent Office With a Dragon and a Cyborg .... A story which lets us into the inside of a crazy Patent Office.

@Elckerlyc .... Delphi (occupied Greece), 20 June 1941 ,,,, A story which might just be the definition of speculative history told in a really interesting way.

@Ashleyne .... INCINERATION OF THE FAMILY TREE .... A story which speaks about the pains and problems of being seen as too different.
***It's been a while Ashleyne, thanks for entering again.***

@reiver33 .... Bosworth, Redux .... A story which shows us history and the thread it's held by.

@BigJ .... Empathy; Doubt; Defiance .... A story set in the world of a living nightmare and the question of what to do about it.

@johnnyjet .... Questions for Amelia .... A story which takes a mystery and makes it even more mysterious.

----------------

Okay people, you can stop writing such good stories any time now. My muse has flown, and my self confidence in being able to be worthy of staying with this groups of stories is tanking by the moment.

mosaix: How critical is it to retain full use of one's faculties?

Pyan: Are some traditions more trouble than they are worth?

Starbeast: When is it proper to make use of the ideas of others?

Elckerlyc: Can superstition be destructive?

Ashleyne: Must we reject those superior to ourselves?

reiver33: To what extent to the actions of others determine our fates?

BigJ: When does the punishment fit the crime?

johnnyjet: Will some mysteries remain forever unsolved?

Venusian Broon: How should one respond to the arrival of the unknown?

Hugh: How might things have worked out better?

@Venusian Broon .... La Danza de la Muerte .... A story which leaves me wondering how much would have changed if this story were actual history.

@Hugh .... If only… .... A story which points to a world where music's best thoughts become real.

A rumour that this month the Challenge is closing earlier should be ignored

...in spite of some solid evidence that this might be so....

When voting opens a separate poll thread will appear, courtesy of Ursa major, with a list of all the entrants and the titles of their stories (or "Untitled" if the story doesn't have one!). You then click against the name/title you want to vote for and then click at the bottom of the poll. Eh, voila! It's done! (Don't do as I once did, which was click against the names -- it was a 300 Challenge where we have 3 votes -- then I opened another tab to do something, got engrossed in that, then shut down my laptop, all without going back and clicking to vote. Grrr.)
