Anyone know about books with this description?

There werewolves wore straight up wolf skins that were alive, and to speak they had to pull it off their head kinda like the hood of a hoodie. The cool things was that the wolfhead was still active and snarling meanwhile the person wearing it was talking.

I was given this description.

Not sure but have a search for books by James Clemens. I've never (I don't think) read any but I saw a vague description of one where a character is wearing a living wolfskin

Yeah also don't know. But it sounds like a cross between a werewolf and a skinwalker. There are a number of books out there, horror stories, were skinwalkers wear the skins of the people and / or creatures they take the form of.
