Hi there everyone! New Asimov fan here, I've gotten into the Foundation series this year and have just started Second Foundation (no series spoilers please! :) )
and this is the set that I have of the series so far. I've done a lot of searching trying to complete this set with the sequels
& prequels, and I haven't been able to find any edition of Forward the Foundation that is in this set. I have also noticed that
in the front page where it lists a bunch of his other books, the list has the entire Foundation series mentioned except Forward,
despite (as far as I can tell) this title already being out when this set was released. Does anyone know if this set includes Forward,
and why it isn't mentioned in the book list?

Thank you!! :)

Asmove's Robots series
1. The Caves of Steell
2. The Naked Sun
3. The Robots of Dawn

Asimov Empire series
1. The Star Like Dust
2. The Current of Space
3. Pebble in the Sky

Are take place well before Foundation and it novels.

That's the original trilogy.
Hi Jim, I know that some of the others are also included in this set as I've found copies of Edge, Earth & Prelude in it, and they all fit together with the OG trilogy to form a single image, but I haven't been able to find any trace of Forward being a part of this set, or as to why the other books don't mention it despite it already having been out.

When was that set printed?
If I remember correctly, Forward was published posthumously, the last of Asimov's books to see print. Was it perhaps published after the printings of the books you have in hand?

Baylor, it's
The Stars Like Dust
The Currents of Space

Also, The End of Eternity is within the overall series, in that the ending of the novel sets up the timeline that contains all the other stories.

I’ve noticed 2 versions of this set, one that includes the sequels/prequels and where the title & author surname is shiny, and then one that just seems to be the OG trilogy and isn’t shiny, but both versions apart from that are visually identical. I have the shiny ones, and the inside of Empire says “this edition printed in 1996”. I found a website that says the non shiny versions were printed in 1993, the same year Forward came out. Perhaps they didn’t include Forward in the shiny re-release because they couldn’t make the artwork fit into the jigsaw type-thing they did with the covers?
But that still doesn’t explain why it isn’t at least mentioned in the list inside.

By the way, everyone should read Second Foundation in its original format,
'Now You See It' in the January 1948 issue of Astounding,
And 'And Now You Don't' in the November 1949 issue (3 part serial).

Also, a 'must see' is Richard Hoen's letter to the Editor in the November 1948 issue that predicted the contents of said November 1949 issue.

I don’t know if the OP will be back but I just saw this and to answer the question, which no one else did yet, that imprint didn’t include ‘Forward’, for some reason. Most editions have not done so, tbh, with the exception of the 2004 Bantam imprint.
