Hi,
I was hoping someone could help me track down a great sci-fi story I read years ago that I’d like my son to read.
Summary:
Story told in the 1st person by a teenage girl “outcast”. It involved time travel. As I remember it, on high school graduation day all the graduates are to meet their future selves. That momentous day she watches as future selves appear amid crackling energy. Many of her schoolmates turn out to be famous and successful. She waits for her future self not sure what to expect, but she doesn’t show. The girl wonders what happens to herself when suddenly her future self suddenly does appear. If memory serves me correct, she simply smiles at her and hands her a note and disappears. The note says something like, “It’s hasn’t been boring”.
Does this ring a bell for anyone?
Thanks, Steve Olechna
