I grew up here, and my uncle was a driver on this line.

Here is one from my part of the world, (a short hour's drive from here.) I rode this once when I was a kid and would like too again.

This one's in Santa Cruz County, where I grew up. I rode it many times and a couple of times in the cab of the locomotive where I got to pull some levers and (almost) be Engineer.
It's a "Shea" type, geared engine, designed for hauling timber on steep ground. (Not as steep as a cog railway, though...)

@Astro Pen That Union Pacific Big Boy is one lovely steam locomotive! Also, I bet seeing the location of your childhood brought back memories of your uncle too.
