Did you read Ken MacLeod-The Night Sessions?

If you read what do you think about it? I am reading right now i hope i can finish. I just wanted to read a sci-fi detective story.
 
I did read it a few years ago. I've read a lot of Ken MacLeod's books and I think this was perhaps one of his weaker stories, there were interesting bits in it but I don't think it really came together.
