Ran out of things to watch so tried this out - a series based on the first Lee Child novel - with expectations being suitably low.

And yet, having watched the first 2 episodes, so far this is a wonderfully faithful adaptation. :)

Although the main character looked younger than he should be, that is the only criticism so far - he carries the character well, and the fight scenes are really well choreographed, brutal, and short.

Astonishingly, it's also well-acted, and the support characters of Roscoe and Finlay really come out well done in this with some great conflict between the three when Reacher is added.

Altogether, so far, all good - makes for great viewing - just hope it keeps this way. :)

EDIT: Minor warning - there's some frontal nudity involving a male murder victim in the second episode.

Me and my wife started watching this a few days ago and we finished Episode 2 last night.

Pretty much agree with what you said here - Finlay and Roscoe are great, Finlay especially I really like. Reacher looks like an absolute monster, he is huge... his biceps are like a normal mans thighs, which makes the fight scenes actually believable because they lean into his size and obvious strength.

I enjoy how Reacher is just confrontational but only as far as being honest - no beating around the bush.

"Are you saying I'm a liar"
"Yes"

I'll keep watching this one because its a nice easy watch and I am a sucker for realistic fight scenes and some intrigue.

Regards

Season one continues in the vein. I hope, hope that they continue the momentum in season two.

I enjoyed season one, however the last episode was a tad lackluster. Another good series in the same vein as Reacher is The Terminal List.

A few other great series I've watched (or still watching) are Peaky Blinders, The Man in the high Castle and MrInbetween. I'm also on my last season of Justified.

Finished Reacher now - fantastic series. Can't wait for season 2. :)

On that point, I wonder whether they'll try t cover all of the books, or just do a select few?

There is trailer for season 2 coming out .

Ive had the book series recommend to me number of times .
