Hey everyone,

Apologies if this has been covered a lot elsewhere, or if talking about specific publishers is a no-go, just attempted to search the forums but the terms are too broad and my brain has yet to come online today ;)

I'm interested to hear what people think about digital publishers, and Second Sky specifically - I've read some great forum posts on publishing and self-publishing, and obviously this is one of those areas where the changing world of publishing gets tricky; they save a lot by only doing online, but then perhaps you do get the benefit of traditional publishing help (an editor and, at least as they claim, good online marketing). Speaking of Second Sky specifically, they seem very new, I like their cover art, and they talk up their approach to each author. But, presumably, if you paid for the design oneself presumably that wouldn't be too hard to do. That said, the thought of marketing scares me and I think I'd be terrible at it. That said I have never tried. In any case, it looks like Second Sky still have a very small range at the moment, and I'm wary of digital publishers but this might be because I'm too old...

Would be really interested to hear peoples' thoughts or experiences on this topic.

I don't know them but they seem linked to Bookoutre, and they are a good, reputable publisher who are well able to market books.

Thanks for this - yes, I should have said they are in imprint of Boukoutre, owned by Hachette UK :)
