I saw (somewhere or other but I can't find it now) that there's a new version of the martial arts series The Water Margin being made, anybody heard about this?

+To be honest I'm not even sure if it's TV or a book series)

I remember something about Netflix doing a reboot? It was a few years back and I don't have Netflix
As for the original... Essential Friday[?] teatime viewing!

The Water Margin is a very very old classic Chinese novel written in the 14th century Ming dynasty by Shia Naian . It's pretty good read.:)

I found the snippet I saw online, it's only slightly linked to the original.

It is one of the four classic Chinese novels.

Like Journey to the West and Romance of the Three Kingdoms, it's a novel that's so old and popular that it's practically folklore at this point. A source for comics, video games, movies, operas, etc. These books are basically the foundation of the wuxia genre.

There are two Journey ot the West films, one made in 2013 and sequel in 2017 .
