This news would sound exciting except that I fear the production is likely to focus too much on scenes of battle, more like a dramatized video game than an expansion on Tolkien's world and characters, much like the wretched Battle of Five Armies was.

Based on the what people doing his film and what previous worked on , I suspect that they'll put a good effort into the story and characters.
